In the face of the severe COVID-19 crisis and international trade sanctions on tyre exports, China's tyre growth in 2021 is still in the stage of steady. According to official export data, China exported 49 million "new rubber tyres" in May, 4.8 percent up from a year earlier. China's General Administration of Customs said tyre exports now reached 660,000 tons, 28.5 percent up from May 2021. Exports in May rose 38.7 percent from a year earlier to $1.7 billion. In the first five months of 2022, China exported 233 million tyres, 1.3 percent down from a year ago. But the value of exports rose 19 percent from a year ago to $7.6bn, while tonnage levels climbed 7.7 percent to 3 million tons.The above data also shows that China's tyre export volume has always maintained a stable growth level.
